And it was a very valuable experience to actually ride the ferries, trams, and tunel and experience the cityscape and life of Istanbul. The ruins were amazing!! It completely exceeded my image of Turkey, and it made me want to visit eastern Turkey again. More than anything, I was deeply touched by the Turkish people. They have a warmth that is different from the isolated society of Japan.

Our guide was very attentive and knowledgeable, and answered any questions we had. Our driver was also cheerful, polite, and drove carefully. All the restaurants were delicious and had a great variety, which was great. The vegetable soup for lunch in Istanbul and the seafood for dinner were particularly tasty.
