Deputy Minister Ms. Celile Eren Ökten received a distinguished delegation of students and accompanying representatives from Otsuma Tama College, based in Tokyo, Japan.

During the meeting held at the Ministry, discussions focused on strengthening the educational and cultural ties between Türkiye and Japan, in light of the delegation’s visit to the country between March 23–31, 2026. The importance of passing on the long-standing friendship between the two nations to future generations through education was emphasized.

Ms. Ökten expressed her appreciation for the college’s ongoing initiative, which has brought students to Türkiye regularly since 2013 as part of the “Türkiye Seminar” program. It was noted that such visits offer students a valuable opportunity to experience Türkiye’s rich historical and cultural heritage firsthand, while also fostering their role as goodwill ambassadors between the two countries.
